The DC Metro Area market seems to be weakening, as the number of contracts executed fell to 9,897, the lowest levels since March. Meanwhile sales came in at 8,097 homes sold over the last 30 days. Fairfax County had 1,899 contracts executed, making it the top contributor. Potential buyers should note that prices went up in the DC Metro Area, with the median for this period rising from $390,000 to $393,000. There are only three months of inventory available in the DC Metro Area, so it's still seller's market, even with the shrinking contracts numbers.
